Definition
Picket means to stand or demonstrate in a public place to express a protest or to raise an awareness regarding a particular issue. People normally hold banners or posters with specific messages that support their protest. It is one of the way for individuals or groups of people to voice their concerns and advocate for a change. Picketing usually takes place outside of the place(might be a government establishment, a business place) where that particular cause or change is required. The word picket referring to a person who is involved in the strike.
