Rattle
When something is said to be rattle, it means that it is making a rapid series of sharp sounds. It's like when you shake a container with objects inside, and they collide and create a rattling noise. The word rattle can be used to describe various situations. If you hear a rattling sound coming from your car, it could mean that something is loose or not properly secured. Similarly, if you have a window that rattles when it’s windy outside, it means that the glass is shaking and causing the noise.
Rattle can also be used metaphorically to describe a person’s state of mind. If someone is feeling anxious or nervous, we might say that their nerves are rattled. It's like their thoughts and emotions are in a state of turmoil, just like the shaking and clattering of objects in a container.
